The 2021 Bloomsburg Fair is here! Starting this past Friday and running until October 2nd, the 166th annual Bloomsburg Fair will be happening in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. The event hosts arts and crafts, horticulture, agriculture, livestock, rabbits and poultry, school exhibits, concerts, rides — you name it!
After its unfortu-nate cancellation last year, the fair is making its much anticipated return. This year, there will be many performances from musicians and artists like Jon Pardi, Brett Young, Darci Lynne, a Bruce Springsteen tribute band (Bruce in The USA), and much more! If music isn’t your thing, the fair also boasts a roster of other fun events like truck and tractor pulls, a championship demo derby, monster truck racing, amuse-ment rides, and many other activities.
There is pumpkin painting and other activities for young kids and plenty of enjoyable fair games throughout the various stalls scat-tered across the fairgrounds. To see more of what the fair has to offer, check out their website at: https://bloomsburgfair.com/events.
Another great aspect of the Bloomsburg Fair is the food. There are many dif-ferent trucks, stalls, buildings, and stands selling all sorts of different treats. One of the best parts of the fair are the different foods you can find during the event. There is rolled ice cream, fresh cut french fries, deep fried pickles, and just about anything that could be thrown into a frier. Regardless of if you’re looking for a quick snack or a full meal, you’ll be able to find something at the fair. The food is fairly priced in most places and you can snack your way from one side of the fairground to the other if you choose to do so.
Gate admission to the fair costs $8/ticket this year. Children 12 and under are free according to the fair’s website. Single tickets are sometimes cheaper on the site as well. The fair is also offering a deal where you can by eight tickets for only $48 in-stead. Additionally, fairgoers can purchase an RV Parking Pass if they would rather camp near the festivities.
There is parking available for those driving to the fair and you can prepay for a parking pass on the fair’s website for only $5.00. You can pur-chase tickets online here.
If you would ra-ther, tickets are also available for purchase at the gate on your way in. The line for tickets is known to be long so it might be better to order ahead. The fair gates are open from 7am to 9pm each day. The Bloomsburg Fair only happens once a year so don’t miss your chance to come try the food and spend some time exploring all that the fair has to offer.
